An Annual plant is a plant that completes its life cycle, from germination to the production of seeds, within one growing season, and then dies. These are used mostly in baskets, containers and in the landscape. I like to call Annuals used in Containers or Planters, "Basket Stuffers" and their purpose is  to either be a Filler, Spiller or Thriller.
